WANA (Jan 23) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmail Baghaei, has strongly condemned the U.S. State Department’s decision to label the Yemeni Ansarullah movement as part of its so-called list of foreign terrorist organizations.

Baghaei described the move as an unjustified and baseless action that serves as a pretext for inhumane sanctions against the Yemeni people.

In a statement, the senior Iranian diplomat criticized the measure, calling it a violation of international law. He highlighted the solidarity between the Yemeni people and the oppressed Palestinians in their resistance against Israeli occupation and genocide.

Baghaei further stated that the U.S. decision aligns with the policies of the previous administration, which supported and collaborated in a 15-month-long campaign of killing and genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

He warned that such unilateral and arbitrary actions undermine the rule of law in international relations and pose a serious threat to regional peace and stability.
